No fewer than 1,305 people were killed in 2,404 road traffic crashes that occurred across the country in the Second Quarter (Q2) of 2024.

The National Bureau of Statistics stated that a total of 1,076 males, including male children were killed in Q2 2024 road traffic crashes, accounting for 82.45%, while a total of 5,837 males were injured during the period, accounting for 76.30%.

Also, a total of 229 females including female children were killed, accounting for 17.55%, while a total of 1,813 females, including female children were injured, accounting for 23.7%.
